  3. hi, you can take train at the hualamphong station to ayuthaya, it cost you at 15TBH ~ 30TBH and the train is no air conditional..traveling time around 1 1/2 hr to ayuthaya.
second choice is rent a taxi. You can find many taxi company at the hualamphong station offers one day trip package to ayuthaya. It cost you about 1000TBH++ per person. This package including return trip to ayuthaya, no sharing basis (means u book the whole taxi), and travel to interesting spots. It is safer and easier if you take taxi because the interesting spot at ayuthaya were scattered around from 1 place to another place was quite far..
for this trip i choose the taxi and this package guaranteed the taxi driver bring you to all the interesting spot in ayuthaya.

  5. Hello.. I jusst back from Bangkok.
I stay around KhaoSan road and there are many agents offering local tour.
For the Ayuhthaya day trip, the fee is only THB 550/pax for air con coach, tour guide and entrance fee. But because of time concern, I didn't take the trip.

    Depart:7am; Arrival at Bangkok: 5pm.

Just to let you know, ya!
